Brian Doyle has coached high school basketball in Northern Virginia for 34 years.  He served as the Head Coach at Langley High School from 1995-2005, leading them to Liberty District titles in 1997, 1998, 2001, and 2003.  He then served as the Head Coach at Centreville High School from 2005-2008, before being named an Assistant Principal.  He has also coached at Paul VI, Madison, and most recently Fairfax High Schools, and also spent four years on the AAU circuit, coaching with the Nova Cavaliers.  Additionally, Coach Doyle was a Senior Writer for, writing about college basketball, hosting a college coaches’ podcast series and serving on several national awards committees. Coach Doyle and Coach Kevin Weeren have hosted the Nova Hoopcast, Northern Virginia's first podcast and YouTube show focusing on local public school boys basketball.  Coach Doyle and Coach Jerry Lin (Marshall) also assist founder Kevin Weeren with the annual Nova Challenge, the annual public school all-star game.  The event has raised over $12,000 for local charities.


Jamel Howard

Jamel graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 2020 with a degree in Rec Leadership and Sports Management and double minors in Digital Communications and Marketing.  He was a two-sport athlete, playing four years of both basketball and track & field.  He played high school basketball at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, Virginia, and played AAU basketball for the Nova Cavaliers.
